Guilherme Pimenta is part of a generation of violin players that have been bringing the instrument into Brazilian styles such as choro, samba and forró. Born in Minas Gerais Brazil, the young violinist and composer Guilherme Pimenta studied classical violin at prestigious music schools in Brazil and the United States. He has been on stage playing everything from Brazilian music, to jazz and classical in countries such as Belgium, Brazil, the United States and Switzerland. Guilherme Pimenta is now living in Rio de Janeiro, where he is fully dedicated to jazz and Brazilian music. He plays with the samba band "Papagaio Sabido" and in his own project, the "Guilherme Pimenta Trio" with Daniel Ganc (acoustic guitar) and Lucas Videla (percussion).
